Overview
As Director of Security for Executive Protection at CommonSpirit Health you will independently execute a security management plan that would ensure the safety and transportation of our CEO. From risk assessment to personal protection, each day will be different and dependant on the needs of the CEO and organization.
You will be responsible and involved with developing, reviewing, and revising Executive Protection security policies, procedures, and modules 

Every day, you will ensure the safety and security of our CEO and our corporate office. Your security detail could include:

  • Daily travel coordination 
  • Pre-trip planning
  • Route selection
  • Site security surveys
  • Facilitating the smooth pick-up and drop-off (Residence, Airport, Meeting Locations)

To succeed in this role, you must remain calm and take action based on the situation.  You will demonstrate a high level of professionalism, adapt to dynamic situations, and be committed to the safety and security of our executives.   

This role does require domestic travel 25%

Responsibilities

Provide protection, ensure safety, and security of our CEO

Maintain communication and collaborate with our executive leadership, security, and operations teams  

Conduct ongoing risks, threats, and vulnerability assessments

Manages and coordinates responses to critical incidents, reviews and addresses identified actual and potential security issues, and breaches.

Develop, review, and revise department policies, procedures, and modules.

Monitors existing security systems and technologies for possible security leaks or fraud.


Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Criminal Justice, Safety Administration, OR a combination of education and/or job related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing security programs in a healthcare facility or large organization 

Current Driver’s License with a clean driving record 

California Security Guard Card free from disciplinary actions

CPR (can complete in the first 30 days)

De-escalation techniques and training knowledge of Life Safety, TJC, CMS and OSHA regulations and standards.

Future Certification Needed: 

Workplace violence training within 6 months of employment.

Completion of National Incident Management System (NIMS) compliant ICS 100HC, 700 & 800 courses or state equivalent. CPR, BLS & Heart Association (HA) certification within 90 days of employment.
