Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Senior Facilities Director the Chief Engineer is responsible for supervision of the day-to-day operations preventative maintenance functions repairs and modifications to the hospital physical plant facilities equipment and medical office buildings. This includes work accomplished by in-house engineers as well as work performed by contractors. The Chief Engineer works collaboratively with department heads to ensure that high quality work is performed cost effective services are provided to patients and all users within the facility by monitoring standards of practice customer satisfaction operational and personnel budgets and staff performance.
Qualifications
Minimum
High School diploma.
Must have at least three years hospital experience.
Preferred
Two year trade school or Associates in Engineering preferred.
Three years hospital supervisory experience preferred.
