Responsibilities

The Case Coordinator works as part of the administrative team and works independently in a leadership capacity providing direct services and supervising direct service staff volunteers and interns. The Case Coordinator is directly responsible for coordinating and providing intake/orientations and risk assessment with clients referred by the Court as well as developing a service plan for referral to other services. She/he is responsible for writing editing and for the integrity of reports sent to the Court. The Case Coordinator oversees on-site shadow training of new staff interns and volunteers. She/he contributes to the collection and maintenance of client services and demographic data as well as grant reports. She/he works closely with the team on grant development and writing as well as other fundraising needs. The Case Coordinator’s work schedule includes holidays weekends and week days/evenings as well as providing on-call coverage during direct service hours. She/he attends case staff meetings and clinical supervision as scheduled. He/she works closely with other staff to identify and participate in the development of community resources for client referral. She/he represents Rally in the community as assigned. He/she acts in an administrative capacity in the absence of the Program Manager.


Qualifications

Experience

1-2 years of experience in a human services related field. Years of education in a human services field beyond High School can replace years of experience.

Experience working with families in conflict; primarily domestic violence (Preferred)

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Licensure

Requirement to be fingerprinted and registered with Trust Line within the first 30 days of employment

Special Skills

Knowledge of Microsoft word processing Prior experience working with children and/or families. Detail oriented. Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills with appropriate use of grammar rules and ability to edit documents Team oriented. Able to maintain professional boundaries and a courteous demeanor in challenging situations.

Special Skills (Preferred)

Demonstrates knowledge of child development child abuse prevention and child exposure to domestic violence Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills with appropriate use of grammar rules and ability to edit documents Knowledge of Microsoft word processing Prior experience working with families in conflict or in the foster care system. Detail oriented Conflict resolution & limit-setting skills Team oriented Able to maintain professional boundaries and a courteous demeanor in challenging situations

Preferred:

Bilingual/Bicultural Spanish or Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) preferred
