Dignity Health Advanced Imaging, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, provides cutting-edge diagnostic imaging services at 16 locations in the greater Sacramento and Woodland areas.  Our team of 160 staff members work with our specialty trained and board certified radiologists to provide high quality care to our patients.  The locations perform more than 175000 exams annually with the goal of providing top quality imaging compassionate care and timely service with a smile.


Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Radiation Oncologist Medical physicist and Practice manager the staff Radiation Therapist accurately delivers ionizing radiation to the patients in accordance with the planned treatment prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist. The staff radiation therapist will assist as needed in all aspects of the Radiation Oncology Department functions such as patient care patient treatment delivery patient treatment records radiation safety quality assurance and patient follow-up programs.

May be required to occasionally work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:


- High School diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of accredited school of radiation therapy.
- Registered in Radiation Therapy by the ARRT and licensed as a Radiation Therapist by the California Department of Public Health.
- BLS certification through American Heart Association.
- Current knowledge of appropriate clinical practices radiation protection and quality assurance patient management and care charges basic dosimetry and equipment.


Preferred Qualifications:


- Two (2) years recent radiation therapy experience preferred.
- Experience using ARIA or IMPAC Varian and CT simulation equipment preferred.
- HDR brachytherapy experience preferred.
