Overview

As our Patient Care Technician at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, you'll help our patients feel safer and more comfortable by assisting with their basic daily life activities.
We want our patients to be as comfortable as possible and believe that starts with basic patient care. Our Patient Care Technicians are a vital part of the care team – treating each patient's individual needs, documenting care, and supporting our clinical teams.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a variety of routine tasks and direct patient care to support our patients and our clinical teams.  
  • Communicate, monitor, and document pertinent patient information.
  • Assist with admission, transfers, transporting, lifting, and discharge of patients.
  • Make rounds and respond promptly to patients, families, and clinical team requests.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse and multicultural environment.
  • Assist in organization, cleaning, and safety of the unit and patient rooms.

Qualifications
  • AZ CNA License, LNA, Basic EMT, or Completion of first block of nursing program 
  • American Heart Association BLS certification
