Respiratory Therapist IV - Respiratory Therapy

St. John's Regional Medical Center 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Therapist IV to join our healthcare team. As a Respiratory Therapist IV, you will play a crucial role in the care and treatment of patients with respiratory conditions. You will work with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of patient care

Responsibilities
  • Administer and monitor invasive and non-invasive respiratory therapies to patients.
  • Assess and evaluate patients' respiratory conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians and nurses to provide comprehensive care for patients.
  • Maintain and calibrate respiratory therapy equipment.
  • Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions and treatment plans.
  • Document patient information and treatment progress accurately in medical records.
  • Participate in emergency response teams and code blue situations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in respiratory therapy.


Qualifications
  • Current California licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (LIC RCP)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in respiratory therapy
  • OR three (3) years of experience in a level two (2) or greater NICU competency in Neonatal and Newborn delivery Intubation
  • Three (3) years of experience in critical care and ventilator management
  • Current AHA CPR certification (CT CPRBLS)
  • Current AHA ACLS certification (CT ACLS)
  • Current AHA NRP certification (CT NRP)
  • Current AHA PALS certification (CT PALS) within three months of hire
  • Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire.  This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

This position is represented by SEIU UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
