The posted compensation range of $33.50 - $48.58 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Details
As our NICU Nurse at CHI Health’s CUMC-Bergan Mercy Hospital, you’ll monitor the complex medical needs of sick and preterm infants. You’ll provide compassionate care, serving as their advocate; supporting their best interests when they cannot.
To thrive in this role, you’ll heavily depend on your ability to multitask and react. You’ll clinically care for your patients, remaining focused and attentive, as you continuously monitor them throughout your shift. Your sound judgment during an emergency and rapid response are impressive. You’re calm. You’re in control. You’re handling the situation.
About Us
The NICU at CUMC Bergan Mercy is a 36-bed, Level III unit dedicated to caring for a wide variety of infants requiring intensive care. We have a robust interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and lactation specialists involved in the care of some of the most complex babies in the region. Our NICU is focused on providing family-centered care and proudly offers private rooms for our babies.

Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality patient care. This will involve, utilizing your knowledge and skills to educate patients' families on prevention and healthy habits.
What You'll Do
- Monitor patients' conditions and assess their needs.
- Educate parents on various interventions or procedures, medications (name and purpose), exams, etc.
- Assess newborns and provide care.
- Communicate with the care management team.
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families.
Qualifications
We are offering a $20,000 Sign on Bonus and up to $10,000 in student loan repayment assistance to new hires who meet the following eligibility requirements.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- One year of RN experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Specialty certification NRP required within 5 months of hire.
- Additional certification or licensure may be required upon hire
