Laboratory Supervisor - Clinical Laboratory Services

Northridge Hospital Medical Center  is seeking an experienced and dedicated Laboratory Supervisor to oversee our clinical laboratory operations. The Laboratory Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality laboratory services to support patient care within our hospital.


Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise the daily operations of the hospital laboratory, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow coordination.
  • Oversee a team of laboratory technologists and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Monitor quality control measures and participate in proficiency testing to maintain accurate and reliable laboratory results.
  • Coordinate with other departments, physicians, and nursing staff to prioritize and fulfill laboratory testing requests in a timely manner.
  • Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and oversee equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Implement and maintain laboratory information systems (LIS) to streamline laboratory processes and data management.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new laboratory tests and procedures.
  • Serve as a resource for laboratory staff, providing technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance as needed.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive Laboratory Services experience in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science.
  • Bachelor's degree or coursework equivalent to meet CLIA requirements.
  • American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel (NCA) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), or equivalent required.
  • Additional state licensure as needed is required
  • Fire Safety Card required. (must obtain within 90 days of start date.)
