SPEECH PATHOLOGIST (SLP) – SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY
Northridge Hospital Medical Center, a Dignity Health member

Minimum availability required of Per Diem staff--2 weekend days per month

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate speech therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders and speech-related difficulties in clients of all ages. This position involves developing individualized therapy plans and working collaboratively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.


Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech and language abilities
  • Conduct swallowing evaluations and treatment including videofluoroscopy
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings
  • Implement therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques and strategies
  • Monitor and document client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Educate and train clients, families, and caregivers on exercises and techniques for continued progress
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care and progress tracking

Qualifications
  • Current CA SLP license. Recent, board eligible, graduates will be considered for provisional appointments.
  • CFY candidates must apply at conclusion of CFY (required for student supervision).
  • Current CPRBLS and Fire Safety cards.

Therapists will apply and obtain CCS paneling once one year equivalent of pediatric experience is obtained. 

Experienced therapists with 1 year equivalent of pediatric experience will apply/obtain CCS paneling within six months of hire.
