Responsibilities

RN Transition Program - Medical/Surgical ICU, Beginning September 16th, 2024.

The Transition RN Fellowship at Northridge Hospital Medical Center prepares and supports experienced nurses as they enter into a specialty unit. 

Candidates must have at least 2 years of acute care experience to be eligible for this program. 

The ICU unit at Northridge Hospital Medical Center is actively seeking individuals who demonstrate patient care excellence.  We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU unit to coordinate supervise and implement patient care based on competence professional expertise knowledge and evidence-based practice. The Registered Nurse is expected to practice autonomously consistent with professional standards Nurse Practice Act and hospital job description specific to the unit. Qualifications

Minimum

    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an acute care setting required.
    • Graduate of Accredited RN school of Nursing required.

    • Completion of an approved Basic Arrhythmia course prior to the start of the transition program (unless otherwise agreed upon by Unit Director and Education department to complete during the program) or

    • Registered Nurse with current CA License and current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider card required.

    • Current AHA BLS card required.
    • ACLS, EKG competency required.
    • LA City Fire Care required within 90 days of hire.
    • Successful completion of a formal Dignity Health interview process; the overall scoring of the interview consensus will be taken into consideration in determining the selection of candidate(s).

    • Current employees: Must be in good standing with no disciplinary actions within the past twelve(12) months and with at least a Meets standards on the last 2 perfomance evaluations.
