Responsibilities

Job Summary:

OurCertifiedSurgicalFirstAssistantplays a vital role in our surgical department. TheCertifiedSurgicalFirstAssistant  provides surgicalassistanceunder the direct supervision and direction of the operating surgeon.  The CFA function as interdisciplinary team member to provide a safe surgical environment with optimal outcomes for the patient. Practices in collaboration with and at the direction of the surgeon during the intraoperative phase of the patient’s perioperative experience. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the CFA canassistwith the other patient care activities


Qualifications

 Minimum Requirements 

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Certified SurgicalFirstAssist
  • Certified Surgical Technician (CST)
  • BLS
  • Two (2) years of experience working in a surgical setting
