The posted compensation range of $21.23 - $29.20 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Responsibilities
Provides spiritual support for inpatients, outpatients, relatives of patients, and staff members.
Empathizes and prays with the ill, the dying patients, and their families.
Provides for follow-up visits as needed.
Confers with medical and nursing staff in regards to the spiritual needs of patients.
Partners with the broader community to meet spiritual and emotional needs.
Demonstrates sensitivity to the sacramental and spiritual needs of patients, families, staff, and community.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Divinity, Theology, or related field
- NACC Certification of Standing/Affiliation with NACC - CHAPLAIN, or APC board certified chaplain – BCC-APC.
- Board certification prerequisites include: Ordained as a minister or rabbi, or recognized by a religious congregation as a formal member or a lay person with the appropriate credentialing;
- Minimum of four (4) units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) from a program accredited by ACPE or USCCB/CCA; 2,080 hours experience in clinical chaplaincy; Documentation of maintenance of certification is required.
