Overview

As our Radiographer at St Clare Hospital,  you will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions. 

Every day you will be providing X Ray procedures within our Imaging Center, Emergency Room or patient rooms to assist physicians to assist our Doctors in diagnosing disease and injuries.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing precise results for timely and accurate diagnosis. Knowledge of EPIC and PACS will help you hit the ground running but not required for the position

Responsibilities
  • Efficient interpretation of clinical information from clinical team meeting radiology needs of patients
  • Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the order
  • Hyper-sensitivity in monitoring radiation exposure time and activity
  • Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.
  • Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.


Qualifications

Education/Experience:

 Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology. One year of recent related work experience which may be obtained through practical education/training that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities required. Work experience involving the current technical aspects of patient care in a radiology department is preferred.

 License/Certification:

 American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) required. State of Washington Certification as a Radiologic Technologist Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
