Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The pharmacy practice resident (the resident) will actively participate in formulary management medication management and pharmacotherapy services.

  • The resident will review process and verify physician orders for appropriateness while ensuring prompt and accurate delivery of medications to patients.

  • The resident will provide drug information to health care professionals and patients to assist in providing accurate medication therapy. 

  • The scope of services provided by the resident shall include accurate order entry accessing allergy information clinical interventions medication dosing renal dosing hyperalimentation preparation and medication counseling.

  • The resident will assist with pharmacy staff development nursing and prescriber education and pharmacy student training (when applicable). 

  • The resident will maintain a cordial and professional work environment.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Degree from accredited school of pharmacy.

  • Pharmacy Intern License. Must obtain a Nevada Registered Pharmacist license by October 1st.

  • Must obtain CPR/BLS & ACLS within 2 months of date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hospital pharmacy experience. 

  • Nevada Registered Pharmacist License.
