Responsibilities
As our Director of Nursing ER, you will lead upwards of 50 staff members and be responsible for driving the overall quality of care provided by department personnel. You will advise medical staff, department heads, and administrators in matters related to emergency service and strategies.
You will communicate the organization’s goals to the staff as we constantly seek to better serve our community by improving patient experience and delivering exceptional quality care. At the same time, you will advocate for your team by bringing any issues, requests, or new ideas from them to senior leadership.
To thrive in this role, you must be competent and confident. Utilizing your excellent communication skills one-on-one and in front of groups, you will tackle tough conversations and, above all, be an educator at heart. Every interaction is an opportunity to share your knowledge with others and improve their understanding of a patient’s needs, the needs of the staff, and the needs of the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) or equivalent education and experience and Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA).
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience and two (2) years of leadership experience.
- Registered Nursing License (RN) in state of practice, Basic Life Support (BLS), other credentials or modules may be required.
