Responsibilities

The social work supervisor is responsible for facilitating implementation of standards of care for social work services in the home health and hospice setting through supervision of clinical field staff. 

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Provides supervision and general oversight of social work services within scope of clinical practice.
  2. Provides supervision for all social work home health visits according to regulation.
  3. Assists with oversight and direction for field clinician annual competencies and education requirements.
  4. Functions as a resource for field clinicians relative to social programs in each market.
  5. Provides feedback to agency supervisor regarding individual field clinician performance.
  6. Provides consult to field clinicians regarding any ethical issues or reportable vulnerability issues.
  7. Ability to provide home visits if indicated.
  8. Ability to perform basic computer functions, maintain a private workspace for remote interactions.

Qualifications

Graduate of a master’s program or doctoral degree in social work accredited by the council on social work education

Licensed as a social worker in the states of Agency locations

One year’s experience in healthcare
