The Clinical Informatics Support Specialist supports, communicates, and organizes implementations,
optimization, system upgrades, new-user education, troubleshooting and general needs of end users within a
care setting. Functions as a subject matter expert and liaison; developing and maintaining relationships with
end users to ensure efficient use of clinical and business systems. Assist in evaluation and development of
current and future state workflows. Works collaboratively to optimize training, curriculum, and outcomes.
Must maintain relevant credentials.


Responsibilities

*onsite 3 days a week and remote 2 days. M-F, normal business hours unless we have a go live to support.

• Supports and optimizes clinical information system capabilities to meet the organization's goals of quality
patient care, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
• Participates in workflow design and development; project implementation; documentation; and end user
training.
• Understands and utilizes evidence-based practice in initial and ongoing EHR training and competency to end
users
• Contributes to training curricula, communication and change management for technology changes,
upgrades, and downtimes to customers
• Responsible for problem solving, assessing processes and issues, and collaborating with other staff and
physicians to develop solutions resulting in efficient and functional workflows for end users of our software
applications.
• Participates in projects, meetings, and workshops. Gathers information from end users as needed. Escalates
appropriately. Prioritizes responsibilities and organizes workload to ensure that work is successfully completed
within deadlines.
• Promotes the role of informatics and training by building relationships with customers, through positive
interaction, problem identification and resolution
• Frequent travel (10%-50%) is required
• May be required to work after hours and variable shifts and weekends to meet client needs

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience
3 years' healthcare experience
Understanding of hospital, ambulatory, and post-acute care operations,
interdepartmental processes, interactions, and workflows in the healthcare setting
Basic proficiency with PC software applications
Experience with process improvement and/or information systems within a clinical
setting, preferred
Epic experience, preferred
Team-oriented individual, demonstrates professional work and the ability to work
with minimal supervision
Preferred: Prior experience providing application support may be accepted in lieu
of clinical background; and, clinical background is highly desired.
Required Licensure and Certifications
High School Diploma/G.E.D. - Required
After being hired, must successfully complete the Epic Credentialing process which
includes a satisfactory presentation of a trial lesson to a panel, and passing of a
written proficiency exam with a minimum score of 85%

Strong communication and leadership skills with ability to work with a diverse
work force in all levels of the organization. Must be self-driven and able to work
autonomously.

Ability to manage project tasks and timelines
Strong communication skills with ability to facilitate groups toward consensus
Ability to organize priorities and tasks effectively
Proficiency in commonly used software programs
Ability to effectively train others and simplify complex topics
