The posted compensation range of $19.77 - $27.19 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Work in the heart of #humankindess at CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson. We are seeking a responsible and compassionate LPN with top-notch clinical skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. This position will be working in the Medical, Surgical and Pediatric Unit. It is also important to display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to effectively educate patients and their families on the in-home healthcare process. This is a full-time AM/PM shift position.
As a LPN, you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality patient care according to the specific orders of each patient’s individual physician. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician, you'll function as a vital member of the healthcare team who contributes to the success of the practice by demonstrating customer/patient focus, effective communication, professionalism, and teamwork. Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care provided to selected patient populations and their families. This will involve, utilizing your knowledge and skills to educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits.

Responsibilities
- Performs basic nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures.
- Collects patient data such as vital signs; notes how the patient looks and acts, or responds to stimuli, and reports this information accordingly.
- Prepares and administers injections, performs routine tests, treats wounds, and changes bandages.
- Prepares patient records and files using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices.
- Administers certain prescribed medications, and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response.
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing program.
- Must have current/valid Licensed Practical Nurse license from the North Dakota state licensing board or compact license to practice in North Dakota.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
Preferred:
- One (1) year experience in a clinic or acute hospital nursing setting.
