The posted compensation range of $37.40 - $55.63 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Director of Emergency and Trauma Services at CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, , you will help lead our clinical teams operationalize high-level strategy so they can deliver exceptional patient outcomes and maintain the highest standards of safety and quality.
Every day you will oversee the clinical and administrative operations of the Emergency Department, including Trauma and Stroke programs. You will be expected to serve as a bridge between senior leadership and frontline staff, fostering a culture of professional excellence, continuous improvement, and alignment with our mission, vision, and values.
To be successful in this role, you must possess extensive leadership experience in emergency or trauma services, with a proven track record of driving performance improvement, staff development, and operational excellence in a complex health system.
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with senior leadership to implement strategies for the Emergency and Trauma service line, ensuring all initiatives align with system-wide goals for quality, safety, and engagement.
- Clinical & Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations for the ER, Trauma, and Stroke programs, including APP scheduling, staffing optimization, and the deployment of new services to meet community needs.
- Performance & Talent Development: Drive patient satisfaction and staff performance through proactive mentoring, accountability, conflict resolution, and the creation of robust competency tools and orientation programs.
- Process Improvement: Lead continuous improvement efforts by conducting root cause analyses and implementing evidence-based solutions to enhance department efficacy and clinical outcomes.
- Cultural Stewardship: Act as a mission-driven leader, modeling the organization’s core values and maintaining high professional standards to ensure a cohesive and high-performing department environment.
We are offering a $20,000 Bonusto new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
Job RequirementsRequired
- Bachelors Of Nursing, upon hire, and
- 1-3 years Emergency Room, Trauma, or related nursing (RN) experience, and
- Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR), within 30 Days of start, and
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), within 12 -months of start, and
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), within 12 -months of start, and
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), within 12 -months of start.
Preferred
Masters Of Science Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or similar area.
- 1-3 years Leadership Experience.
CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, part of CommonSpirit Heath, a national nonprofit health system based in Englewood, Colorado. The faith-based system operates in 18 states and includes 103 hospitals. Additional services offered within the system are: long-term care, assisted and residential living communities, community health services organizations, home health agencies, and numerous outpatient facilities.
