Job Details
As our surgical services nurse at Chandler Regional Medical Center (CRMC)you will prepare patients for surgical procedures and assist in the operating room to ensure they receive excellent nursing when they are at their most vulnerable.
Every day you will go over consent forms, answer questions about the procedure, do preoperative assessments, make sure the equipment is ready to go, and update family members on the surgery status during the operation. You will be expected to directly assist the surgeon during the actual surgery.
To be successful in this role you must have the ability to maintain focus while multitasking, remain calm under pressure, and exercise good judgment in emergency situations.
Located in the Phoenix Ariz. suburb of Chandler the Chandler Regional Medical Center is a 338-bed not-for-profit hospital with more than 2500 employees and almost 1000 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. Chandler Regional joined the Dignity Health system in 1999 but has been part of the community for more than 50 years. The hospital includes a Level I Trauma Center a Heart and Vascular Center a Wound Healing Center a Family Birth Center and many additional services.

Our new tower has provided additional surgery suites with the latest technology providing a wide range of patient surgical/procedural experience.

Responsibilities
- Care for patients before, during, and after procedures
- Develop and implement nursing care plan for surgical patients
- Ensure operating rooms are prepped with all necessary equipment and supplies
- Demonstrate a high level of compassion for patients

Qualifications
Minimum:
Experience:
One (1) year surgery experience
Knowledge of surgical procedures, critical care (surgical) background, pediatric experience helpful.
Education:
ADN, Diploma, BSN or Foreign Equivalent.
Licensure:
Current AZ State RN License in good standing
Current AHA BLS card
Current AHA ACLS card
