NEW TO CATH LAB?
We offer cross training opportunities to the Cath Lab for those with at least 2 years of previous RN experience in the ICU, PCU, PACU or ER. We also have opportunities for Pre/Post Recovery of our Cath/IR Lab patients.
Responsibilities
As a Cardiac Cath Lab and Intervintional Radiology Nurse at St. Anne Hospital, you’ll care for adult patients undergoing cardiac and IR procedures in the cath/IR lab.
You’ll never have the same day twice as your patients’ needs evolve. That’s why you must be adaptable and detail-oriented, providing care to inpatient and outpatient populations and those who come to us for emergent cardiac care.
Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to go the extra mile for your patients and your strong assessment skills. To further support your nursing career, we offer continuing education opportunities to help you advance your clinical nursing skills.
Responsibilities:
- Care for patients undergoing a procedure including prep/admission
- Administer and maintain sedation and analgesia by order of the physician and monitor
- Assess the patient during the procedure and communicate any changes in vitals indicating a possible complication
- You’ll be a trusted educator and resource for your patients’ recovery and prevention of reoccurring issues with post procedure care instructions
- Support our community by providing on-call coverage and responding to needs within 30 minutes
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program
- If assigned to the Procedure area - previous cardiac cath/IR Lab experience or a minimum of two years experience within the past three years in an acute care setting, i.e., ICU, PCU, PACU ER.
- Current Washington State or Multistate RN licensure
- Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump experience preferred
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or within six months of hire
- CCRN (Certification in Adult Critical Care) RN preferred
- IV competency must be attained within four months, training is available
