Since opening in 1952, CHI St. Alexius Health Bismarck has been dedicated to serving the residents of Bismarck, ND and the surrounding rural communities. CHI St. Alexius Health includes the Bismarck Hospital. CHI St. Alexius Health Bismarck includes the services of a 22-bed CAH, a 28-bed skilled nursing facility, an attached rural health clinic, and a newly remodeled emergency department that is available 24 hours a day. We offer many outpatient services, including physical therapy, radiology services, laboratory services, cardiac rehabilitation, and IV treatments.

Responsibilities

CHI St. Alexius is looking for a Full Time Senior Accountant to join the team!

The Senior Accountant participates in the preparation of the organization’s financial statements, financial related reports (tax returns, cost reports, etc.), Balance Sheet reconciliations, and other finance department projects.  Serves a Finance liaison to Directors while assisting them with questions regarding their departmental statements and budget.

What You'll Do:

  • Compiles data for CHI corporate to prepare and file the organization’s 990, 990T, 1120, and ND-40 tax returns
  • Works to help complete financial statements for the Medical Center departments, including but not limited to the physician enterprise, hospital, and affiliates and ancillary business lines
  • Assists Controller in preparation of cost report related materials
  • Assists Controller in the preparation of the organization and assigned affiliate budgets
  • Completes assigned balance sheet and other account reconciliations and addresses issues associated with outstanding transactions within their assigned accounts
  • Assists in functions related to miscellaneous non-patient AR
  • Maintains appropriate supporting documentation for all entries
  • Responds to department questions on financial reports, GL coding, etc.
  • Assists in the submission of requested/required information to Division and National parties as necessary
  • Assists with other departmental projects that may arise
  • Other duties as assigned by management


Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance.
