Registered Nurses with CHI LakeWood Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed by the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health,have a variety of skills from clinical to project management.

We are seeking a responsible and compassionate RN with top-notch clinical skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to thrive in a mulit-disiplinary environment. 


Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the OR during operative procedures in accordance with AORN Standards and department policies and procedures
  • Arranging and inventorying sterile set-up; passing sterile items to the surgeon, assisting in the preparation and movement of patients, and in the clean-up of the operating room
  • Delivery of quality surgical nursing care to the adult, adolescent, pediatric, and geriatric surgical patient utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation)
  • Providing surgical nursing support for a variety major and minor surgical cases
  • Delivery of quality surgical nursing care to the adult, adolescent, pediatric, and geriatric surgical patient utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation)
  • Comprehensive care of the surgical patient during the pre-op, intra-op and immediate post-operative course for the patient
  • Supervising, directing and coordinating the activities of surgical nursing team members in the absence of the Surgery Supervisor
  • Delegating care based on the abilities and limitations of care personnel and patient acuity
  • Providing surgical nursing support for a variety major and minor surgical cases
  • Delivering care through the use of the nursing process.

Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) License by the Minnesota State Board of Nursing
  • BLS, ACLS & PALS will be acquired and maintained
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communciation skills; interacts effectively with providers, patients, visitors and staff
  • Well organized
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and decision making skills
  • Anticipates and recognizes need for immediate emergency patient interventions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three years recent acute care work experience
