As a Lab Supervisor at Mercy Hospital Bakersfield in Bakersfield, California, you'll oversee the day-to-day management of the laboratory for our194-bed hospital located in the heart of downtown. You will contribute to the development of annual goals, objectives and departmental budget while actively facilitating the achievement of the goals and objectives and the ongoing evaluation of results.

Responsibilities
- In collaboration with the Medical Laboratory Director, manages the Quality Assurance Program for the department
- Develops and maintains a service orientation in performing duties with fellow employees, patients, medical staff and visitors.
- Has operational responsibility for the clinical/technical aspects of a section of the laboratory.
- Performs job duties of Medical Technologist; performing a variety of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic procedures of a moderately and highly complex nature, following established standards and practices to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related science from an accredited school
- Current California CLS license
- Current licensure with the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel (NCA) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years laboratory experience in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science
