The posted compensation range of $76.36 - $113.58 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities
This is a remote position based in California with travel required.
The Region Director, Medical Informatics is responsible for implementing and directing operations and strategy as determined by the Medical Informatics Senior leadership for the department's operational efficiency, innovation, talent, and technical and financial leadership.
This region director level role will be responsible for project management and exercise strategic and visionary thinking having long-term organization-wide application and impact; develop and implement programs critical to CommonSpirit Health; and exercise control and supervision of assigned functions and multiple resources that comprise the Medical Informatics service line essential in the organization and its customers. This role will directly partner with clinical informatics, IT, and regional clinicians to ensure the highest standard in electronic health record deployment, optimization strategy, and clinical workflow standardization.
Essential Functions:
- Participates in the development of regional strategy and innovation, providing a pragmatic approach to implementation.Works with operational stakeholders and organizational leadership to develop short- and long-range plans to improve system adoption and use.
- Responsible for the team’s agility and high performance, which models the willingness, leadership, and courage to challenge the status quo, foster creativity, and problem-solve to activate change, innovation, and resilience.
- Assumes responsibility for such duties and projects as may be assigned by the leader and organization. Remains proficient in using all CommonSpirit Health-specific applications supported by the Medical Informatics team. Maintains accurate documentation within the Incident Management System to include a clear description of the problem, the steps utilized in problem-solving, and the final solution.
- Engages with Providers to enhance their Efficiency and Productivity by reducing barriers to complete and efficient documentation, improving charge capture, streamlining workflow, and reducing waste.
- Enhances the usability of our providers' electronic platforms to decrease burden and reduce variability, removing ineffective workflows to enhance provider utilization of our technology.
- Participates in the design and support of effective and regulatory-compliant content, Clinical Decision support, and reporting/metrics to provide insight and enhance clinical and operational outcomes
- Advocates for the needs of our Regional Providers, representing their needs across the organization and improving their experience with the technology they utilize by supporting optimization build and leading change preparedness efforts.
- Supports and champions national initiatives from design through implementation by promoting and effecting provider readiness, application rationalization, biomedical integration, etc.
- Advocate, steward, and support executive initiatives and strategic growth while maintaining a clear line of sight for executive and provider clinical systems optimization requests.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related technical/business areas required.
- Masters degree strongly preferred in Healthcare or Business Administration, Healthcare Informatics, or Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Healthcare IT, Informatics or related service line and 5 years leadership experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of Informatics experience preferred.
