ResponsibilitiesThe Manager of Staffing Services is responsible for overseeing the hospital’s staffing operations and ensuring that staffing plans are effectively developed and implemented across various departments. This includes monitoring and adjusting schedules based on patient care demands, maintaining compliance with labor laws, hospital policies, and accreditation standards, and supporting consistent, high-quality patient care. The manager also maintains and updates policies and procedures, prepares performance reports, and identifies areas for operational improvement.
This position reports directly to the Director of the Nursing Support Office (NSO) and actively participates as a member of the hospital's management team. The manager contributes to planning, policy development, and administrative decision-making, particularly in matters related to the role, functions, and operations of nursing support services. In collaboration with the Director of NSO, the manager assists in the daily oversight of the staffing office, float pool, patient placement, and the traveler coordinator. Through effective leadership and a commitment to service excellence, the Manager of Staffing Services fosters a collaborative work environment that promotes operational efficiency and supports exceptional patient care.
QualificationsEducation and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent education and experience. Magnet Hospital: BSN required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience and one (1) year of leadership experience.
Licensure:
- Registered Nursing License (RN) in state of practice, Basic Life Support (BLS), other credentials or credential modules may be required.
