The posted compensation range of $58.75 - $83.62 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Clinical Staff, the Clinical Coordinator provides direct patient care while being responsible and accountable for providing clinical nursing leadership to other unit service line staff during assigned shift or surgical procedures. All employees are expected to perform their duties in alignment with the vision and values of the organization. The person doing this job is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost-effective manner with respect and dignity.

  • Clinical Leadership & Oversight: Provides clinical leadership by establishing care priorities, coordinating comprehensive nursing care, and guiding unit operational activities on a shift basis. Educates staff and enhances competency through precepting and mentorship.
  • Adherence to Standards: Strictly adheres to all hospital and departmental policies, procedures, quality standards, legal mandates, safety protocols, environmental regulations, infection control guidelines, the Nurse Practice Act, and Patient's Bill of Rights.
  • Surgical Care Coordination: Applies advanced clinical knowledge and expertise to coordinate and supervise patient care during surgical procedures. Proactively plans, actively participates in, and rigorously evaluates patient care based on the nursing process.
  • Team Supervision & Mentorship: Provides direct leadership and supervision to patient care staff during surgical procedures, assigning tasks, monitoring clinical outcomes, and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Seamlessly coordinates surgical care with all members of the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes and procedural goals.
  • Documentation & Communication: Accurately assesses, documents, and communicates patient responses, initiating appropriate interventions under physician guidance. Meticulously records and reports all observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient condition to the physician and interdisciplinary surgical team as appropriate.
  • Professionalism & Confidentiality: Fosters a professional and cooperative manner with all members of the interdisciplinary care team, maintaining exemplary interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors, and hospital personnel while strictly assuring patient information confidentiality.


Qualifications

  • At least two (2) years current registered nursing experience in surgical or perioperative services required
  • BS in Nursing and/or equivalent education/experience demonstrating clinical proficiency required.
  • Must be Registered Nurse with current California License.
  • Current AHA BLS card.
  • Current AHA ACLS required.
  • LA City Fire Care required within 90 days of hire
  • Must have current certification or equivalent experience in specialty area.
  • CNOR preferred.
