The posted compensation range of $35.42 - $46.72 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Details
Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Mechanical Circulatory Support RN, you will develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate a comprehensive program for specialized medical support, ensuring alignment with clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and the business/patient care objectives of the organization.
Every day you will work closely with relevant clinical teams to develop and maintain an advanced medical support program that facilitates a seamless interdisciplinary continuum of high-quality care for patients with complex conditions, promoting optimal clinical outcomes. You will also serve as a clinical expert to healthcare providers, hospital staff, patients, families, and the community on relevant disease management. Your responsibilities include developing protocols, policies, order sets, and mentoring staff to ensure continued competency.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional clinical expertise in specialized medical support, strong leadership in program development, and a proven ability to influence, persuade, and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.
- Monitors pump functioning throughout patient therapy and maintains pump integrity; monitors circuit volume and administers products, medications and/or volumes as ordered; monitors anticoagulation, electrolyte acid-base balance and blood gas composition volumes and adjusts ECMO circuit to maintain physician orders.
- Recommends appropriate changes to current patient management based on new information or changing patient status.
- Generates and compiles appropriate documentation related to ECMO.
- Operates point of care laboratory equipment; interprets and acts on results based upon physician orders.
- With the ECMO coordinator or perfusion sets up and primes ECMO circuits; initiates and maintains extracorporeal life support according to protocols.
- With the ECMO coordinator or perfusion assists with logistics of cannulation, decannulation, and in-house transport of patients on ECMO.
Job Requirements
Required
- Associate Of Nursing Nursing and 1 year of experience as an RN/PCC in CVICU, upon hire and
- Registered Nurse: AR, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days and
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 Days
Preferred
- Bachelors Of Nursing Nursing and 1 year of experience as an RN/PCC in CVICU, upon hire
