The posted compensation range of $37.40 - $55.63 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE
Join our Talent, Learning and Capabilities team as a Visual Instructional Designer you play a pivotal role in shaping engaging and impactful learning across the organization. In this role, you will leverage your graphics and visual expertise to transform complex concepts into engaging and easily digestible learning experiences. Working collaboratively in a dynamic environment, you will be responsible for designing graphics for a variety of platforms and educational purposes, including participant guides, models, presentations, and reports. You will also perform basic video editing to enhance the impact and clarity of key messages. Your primary focus will be on creating content that is not only aesthetically pleasing and aligned with the CommonSpirit brand, but also effectively educates, communicates key information, and facilitates understanding of the learning concept or objective. We hold ourselves to high standards, and this role offers an exceptional opportunity to utilize your visual design and video editing skills to make a tangible difference in how our team members learn and connect with important information. You will be instrumental in creating visually-driven solutions that educate and empower our workforce and drive organizational success.
ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
● Design high-quality learning-centered graphics, banners, images, and visual assets for various channels and formats, including participant guides, models/learning frameworks, infographics, presentations, and other learning materials.
● Translate complex information, data, and learning objectives into easily digestible and visually appealing learning experiences like infographics.
● Create and edit educational and promotional videos, drawing from original content, b-roll, stock, and other resources, to enhance learning outcomes.
● Manage multiple design projects from concept to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and brand consistency is maintained.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
2-4 years of experience in graphic design, preferably with some video editing experience. Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field preferred.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
● Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro) is preferred.
● A strong portfolio demonstrating creative design skills, brand alignment and attention to detail.
● Basic video editing skills and experience with motion graphics are preferred.
● Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
● Strong understanding of brand guidelines and design principles.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
