The posted compensation range of $45.26 - $67.32 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
Coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of CommonSpirit Health Capital Sustainability Programs. Prepares and submits Sustainability projects for consideration. Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develops solutions to program problems, and directs work for project completion. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
Managing 300 million of programs across the entire CommonSpirit system.
● Plans, organizes and controls functions and activities of infrastructure projects.
● Reviews and evaluates existing projects included in the Infrastructure Program.
● Monitors flow and quality of work to assure timely completion of workload and adherence to facility’s standards and
regulations.
● Prepares bid documents, specifications, cost estimates, budgets, schedules and savings in energy for infrastructure
projects. Reviews same with Division Directors.
● Prepares and maintains project records and reports to include project entry into Projecto.
● Ensures code compliance with TJC, State Health Departments, NFPA, EPA, DEP, ADA and local building codes and all
other authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ).
● Plans, coordinates and monitors infrastructure project schedules.
● Prepares, reviews, evaluates and recommends approval of infrastructure project plans.
● Supports Division Directors on annual Infrastructure Program project priority list preparation.
● Interviews project contractors to receive and analyze bids, to include analysis of any project proposed changes.
● Submits bids, cost estimates, schedules, phasing plans, budgets, reports and recommendations to the Division
Directors.
● Serves as liaison with contractors, architects, engineers, regulatory agencies, hospital facilities staff, material and
equipment suppliers and other parties as required.
● Oversees day to day infrastructure project activities and maintains all appropriate project logs and reports. Reviews
and approves all payment applications and change orders. Maintains appropriate infection control practice/standards and Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM) during project activities. Ensures the proper commissioning of all new and renovated building systems.
● Negotiates with contract vendors for preferred agreements.
Job Requirements
● Bachelor's in Construction Management, Facilities Management, or Engineering Related field of study required.
● Minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare or real estate planning, or related field required
● Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Understands and uses Projecto or similar project management software applications
● Thorough knowledge of engineering and construction principles, practices and procedures, applicable laws and government regulations, principles of management and supervision and procedures and policies of departments and facilities.
● Ability to read, comprehend and transmit complicated detailed instructions in writing and verbally.
● Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations
● Ability to multi-tasks and establish priorities
● Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
● Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership
● Possess a thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures
● Ability to use working knowledge of working environment to meet established goals and objectives
