IT Vendor Selection Specialist
The posted compensation range of $40.75 - $59.09 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to determine need for RFP (Request for Proposal) engagement with
vendors, gather and document business requirements, develop proposal strategy, and researching alignment
between expectations and capabilities. - RFP Management, including drafting and issuing RFPs, defining evaluation criteria, coordinating communication
with potential vendors, facilitating vendor engagement sessions, and collecting and evaluating vendor responses. - Conduct research and vetting of potential vendors, including reviewing past performance, client testimonials,
financial stability, and industry recognition in alignment with internal stakeholders' business requirement. - Analyze vendor proposals based on established criteria such as technical experience, proposed solutions, pricing,
and compliance with RFP requirements. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to drive negotiation and contract finalization to include
contract terms, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure they meet the organization's needs. - Document and maintain accurate records of the sourcing process, including RFP documentation, vendor
responses, evaluation results, and contract details. - Champion a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement, instilling a mindset of curiosity,
experimentation, and adaptability across the organization. - Maintain and assist in refining operational processes for conducting reviews, developing and maintaining
materials and tools, and alignment of policy and procedure in support of RFP and RFI reviews. - Remote eligible.

Qualifications
- Bachelors Other Business Administration, IT, or related field or 7-9 years relevant experience as a Business Analyst, Sourcing Analyst, Procurement
Specialist, or similar role - Deep understanding of the RFP process, including best practices for developing and evaluating proposals
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build consensus among diverse stakeholders
at all levels of the organization - Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, drive results, and adapt to evolving priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strategic mindset with the ability to synthesize complex information, identify trends, and anticipate future challenges and opportunities
- Experience in requirements gathering and documentation, as well as managing or supporting RFPs and vendor selection processes
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines are essential for navigating the RFP process
- Familiarity with IT and Healthcare IT RFPs
- Familiarity with ServiceNow and Google Workspace

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with vendor selection understanding to drive operational excellence in the selection of vendors serving IT healthcare business functions. As a Vendor Selection Specialist you will lead complex Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Information (RFI) reviews, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the successful selection of highly aligned vendors.
