Located in the Phoenix Ariz. suburb of Chandler the Chandler Regional Medical Center is a 338-bed not-for-profit hospital with more than 2500 employees and almost 1000 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. Chandler Regional joined the Dignity Health system in 1999 but has been part of the community for more than 50 years. The hospital includes a Level I Trauma Center a Heart and Vascular Center a Wound Healing Center a Family Birth Center and many additional services. During the fiscal year ending June 30 2016 Chandler Regional provided more than $48 million in community benefit. As a result of Dignity Health’s mission to deliver health care and partner with the community nearly 100000 people in the East Valley were reached through community health services. Responsibilities
Chandler Regional Medical Center’s Intensive Care Units provide patient care to Level One Trauma Cardiac Surgery ECMO Tandem Neurology Neurosurgery and Medical patients. Our ICU is an 80 bed ICU that consists of 36 Medical-Surgical Beds (12 of which are CVICU) 32 Surgical-Trauma-Neuro Beds and 12 Cardiac Care Beds which all house state of the art equipment. Chandler is ACS Level One Certified Trauma Center Accredited Stroke Center and is a Center of Excellence for Coronary Artery Bypass Patients and Mitral Valve replacements. The ratio for our ICU patients is 1:1 or 1:2 and is staffed 24x7 by certified Critical Care Intensivists.
The ICU has both a house wide as well as a unit based Shared Governance that is nurse driven to allow staff the autonomy and buy in into how the unit is run. We utilize self-scheduling. The four ICUs are led by a shared leadership team which provides many opportunities for growth as well as the ability to cross train within the various ICUs (Trauma Neuro Surgical Medical and CVICU).
ECCO Program - This blended learning course takes a multi-dimensional approach to prepare the experienced RN to the critical care environment. This 12-week critical care training program blends computer based learning with weekly critical care sessions to prepare the RN who is new to the ICU environment to competently care for the critically ill adult patients. Computer modules focus on the fundamentals by providing the theoretical foundation necessary to care for critically ill patients while concurrent classroom sessions bridge the gap between online learning and nursing practice. Learning is reinforced in the clinical setting by preceptors on the units. The program provides a customized orientation plan with designated preceptors with oversight by the critical care educator and the ICU leadership team.

- As an ICU Nurse you have a desire to be challenged and excel in intense fast-paced environments. You will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Critical thinking is what YOU love to do
- Registered Nurse who shares the same passion for our critically ill patients to coordinate supervise and implement patient care based on competence professional expertise knowledge and evidence-based practice.
- All Staff Nurses are expected to practice autonomously consistent with professional standards Nurse Practice Act and hospital job description.
- Assess patient/family health problems and resources taking a leadership role in the development implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care.
- Provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations.

Qualifications
Minimum:
One (1) year RN ICU experience.
ADN Diploma or foreign equivalent.
Current AZ State RN License in good standing.
American Heart Association BLS.
ACLS card must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Preferred:
Bachelors of nursing degree.
Cerner knowledge.
