Job Summary / Purpose

The Director will lead a multi-year talent transformation program, as it relates to employee engagement.  This program includes a number of initiatives that support our people's journey of investing and transforming our talent into a tech, engineering, experience and product centered organization. The Director provides direction and action on the strategy, implementation and support of ITD communications, executive communications, social media, and multi-media production. The Director will also oversee the day-to-day support and operations of these functions, as well as engagement and communications activities related to the ITD employee engagement and ITD communication activities. The Director will closely manage performance of milestones, key performance indicators (KPIs) and financials across a multi-year roadmap.  The Director is measured based on attainment of KPIs, milestones and financial goal attainment and accuracy.

The Director will lead a multifaceted team of employees, contractors and managers.  The Director will flex labor up and down as necessary to meet demands of the organization.  The Director, while working with other stakeholders inside and external to her/his organization, will operate in an agile method, ensuring that demands are met and solutions are continually refined as demands change.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

  • Creates a center of excellence as it relates to employee engagement tools, methodologies and processes in support of communication needs across the ITD organization.
  • Directs and delivers critical programs that materially enhance the talent journey and corresponding organizational talent engagement. 
  • Communication Orchestration - Enable and provide the right level of support, encouragement and accountability with key leaders to ensure that communication and engagement efforts are successfully deployed and sustained.  Engage with cross-functional leaders to simplify processes and ensure swift throughput.
  • Engagement CoE - Build Robust Employee engagement and communication channels as tracked through engagement index score. Lead various programs, such as Diversity, Values, Employee Assistance, necessary to strengthen the talent necessary to ensure we deliver on our differentiated people strategies in support of the overall business strategy and agenda.
  • Lead Multi-Media Production - Drive new channels to ensure effective engagement across the organization.. Design and deliver programs to support the communication needs critical to the success of ITD. Build CommonSpirit Health ITD Employee Portal, build a framework for transparency and access to information for our people.
  • Prepares, reviews, interprets, and analyzes a variety of information, data, and reports.  Recommends and implements policies and procedures to improve operational effectiveness and enhancements to services or programs.
  • Manages assigned budget and assists with the annual budget development process.  Prepares cost estimates and budget recommendations.  Monitors and controls expenditures to the business and/or strategic objective.
  • Directs the activities of multiple assigned CommonSpirit Health integrated processes and designated strategies involving the Employee Engagement and Internal Communications, including planning, procedures, systems, standards, and/or service offerings.
  • Supervises staff, matrix staff, and vendor partner staff  including prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained; ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a safe working environment; and, making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.
  • Ensures alignment with internal departments, executives, external organizations and public representatives.  Provides IT oversight and leadership representation for the organization at a variety of meetings, public events, on committees, and/or other related events regarding services, programs, projects and facilities.
  • Manages assigned budget and assists with the annual budget development process.  Prepares cost estimates and budget recommendations.  Monitors and controls expenditures to the business and/or strategic objective.
  • Directs planning and the development of short and long term goals and coordinates operational and program efforts in alignment with goals and objectives related to assigned areas of responsibility
  • Acts as a visible culture change agent and leader.

Benefits.

Compensation Range:$59.67to $77.00, hourly rates, annualized. Depending upon geographic pay area. 

Position is eligible for incentive pay based on company performance. Position is able to work remotely.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related technical field required.  Masters’ degree preferred. May substitute an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a management position required
  • 10+ years’ experience with performing learning and development and/or cultural change management..
  • Experience with applications such as Learning Management Systems preferred.
  • Healthcare experience preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills and Training required

  • Managed projects of varying sizes.
  • Effective delegation of responsibilities while ensuring leadership is always informed of status and key issues.
