Overview

As our Vascular Technologist II at the Woodlands Hospitalyou will help capture diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions

Every day you will perform a variety of peripheral vascular imaging examinations. You will also need to enjoy working directly with people as you play a huge role in the patient experience.

To be successful in this role, you must fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging.  This includes the speciality ares of vascular imaging, and capturing precise results for timely and accurate diagnosis.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards
  • Actively participates with patient testing, performing routine, non-routine, urgent, and emergent patient requests
  • Performs portable examinations at the bedside to ensure patient safety as well as provide immediate diagnostic testing when needed

Qualifications

Education and Licensure Required:
Associate’s Degree health related program in a related medical field, which include seminar course training in cardiac ultrasound OR one year certificate preferred
*Registered by American Diagnostic Registry for Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as RVT or RDCS -OR- Registered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as RVS or RCS

Minimum Experience:

Three (3) years related experience
