The posted compensation range of $48.74 - $53.28 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Registered Respiratory Therapy Practitioner I provides optimum respiratory care for patients with respiratory disorders and performs therapy as ordered by the physician in accordance with current departmental policies. This position treats/cares for patients of all ages. Acts as relief shift supervisor when required. Maintains department productivity levels by monitoring workloads throughout the shift.
Qualifications
- Completed internship in acute care facility including NICU and infant deliveries.
- Position will be required to supervise and have the ability to work in all critical areas including the NICU.
- Graduate of a two year American Medical Association approved Respiratory Therapy Program.
- The therapist must have passed the written Registry Examination and the clinical simulation exam provided by the NBRC and received their RRT credential
- Current CA License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Current BLS Card from the American Heart Association (within 90 days)
- NRP and Stable certification will be required to work in NICU and will be provided after hire.
- Maintain current license with Respiratory Care Examining Committee.
Preferred:
- Worked in acute care 1-2 years.
- Experience with nitric oxide use in the NICU preferred but will train.
- Experience in intubations (adult pediatric and infant) arterial puncture arterial line draws high frequency ventilation preferred but will train.
- Member of American Association of Respiratory Therapists and California Society of Respiratory Therapists preferred but not required.
- Current PALS and ACLS highly recommended.
