This position performs Nuclear Medicine procedures with high quality and accuracy and contributes to the operations of the Nuclear Medicine Department within the boundaries set by the standards of the profession and State and Federal regulations.

This position requires the ability to manage multiple tasks; the ability to make decisions and solve problems; supervisory and communication skills to supervise student technologists; radiopharmaceutical skills to determine proper dosages; phlebotomy/injection skills to withdraw blood and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients; an understanding of basic physics, chemistry, anatomy, physiology, and math; a working knowledge of allNuclear Medicine procedures; the ability to operate a variety of computers/scintigraphic imaging instruments; EKG skills; CPR skills; excellent patient care and communication skills; and a working knowledge of radiation safety.
This position requires graduation from an accredited NuclearMedicine program; certification through theNuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board or CAMRT,
Washington State Radiological Technologist License, and current CPR validation and maintain twenty-four (24) medical education credits every two years.
Registration with either NMTCB or CAMRT required. Certification in PET, PET/CT orNuclear Cardiac imaging or successful completion of certification within one year of hire required.
One year experience or one year internship at Virginia Mason or one year internship in a similar setting through Bellevue College. Three years preferred.
Preference will be given to applicants who hold a four-year college degree with a concentration innuclearmedicine or sciences.
