Responsibilities
Position Summary
Under the director or designee, the registered nurse is responsible for providing nursing care adapted to individual patient needs based on the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The staff nurse provides care along the health care continuuem in accordance with the philosophy and policies of St. Mary’s Medical Center. The staff nurse utilizes principles of the nursing process and coordinates clinically related activities to provide for the effective delivery of healthcare. He or she is also responsible for delegation and supervision of personnel, in the provision of care to ensure that patient needs and expected outcomes are met. Qualifications
Requirements
- Must have one year of recent critical care experience as a Registered Nurse and have clinical competence relevant to the patient care area.
- 1-2 years of experience with a minimum of 1 year in area of related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years combined experience in healthcare industry experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Leadership ability and good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and speak English clearly and be understood.
- Current license in the State of California as a Registered Nurse.
- American Heart Association ACLS certification.
- American Heart Association BLS certification. PALS certification
