Responsibilities
Responsible for the ongoing development organization implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive therapeutic activities program on the Intensive Care Burn unit at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital. Services are delivered through a continuum of care: therapy leisure activities education and recreational participation. The therapeutic recreation specialist implements the treatment plan using appropriate intervention strategies to restore remedial and/or rehabilitate in order to improve functioning and independence as well as to reduce or eliminate the effects of illness and/or disability.
One year in a burn care setting Bachelors degree in Therapeutic Recreation Current state certification as an RTR or RTC with the California Board of Recreation and Park Certification (CBRPC) and/or current national certification s CTRS with the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) preferred. AHA BLS certification required.
Qualifications
One year in a burn care setting Current state certification as an RTR or RTC with the California Board of Recreation and Park Certification (CBRPC) and/or current national certification s CTRS with the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) preferred. AHA BLS certification required.
