Responsibilities
Are you an experienced pharmacy technician ready to take the next step in your career? St. Bernardine Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this dynamic role, you’ll play a vital part in managing our pharmaceutical inventory, ensuring seamless operations, and leading a team of pharmacy technicians to provide top-quality care. As a Lead Pharmacy Technician, you will oversee the procurement and maintenance of our pharmaceutical inventory, ensuring both efficiency and compliance. You’ll work closely with the Associate Manager and Director of Pharmacy to maintain contract compliance while ensuring the cost-effective management of stock and supplies. In addition to these responsibilities, you’ll take the lead in training and mentoring new pharmacy tech staff, managing schedules, setting priorities, and resolving any operational challenges that arise. When needed, you’ll also step in to support the team by fulfilling duties as a pharmacy technician. Furthermore, this role requires active support of the Mission and Core Values of St. Bernardine Medical Center, contributing to our strategic goals and ongoing process improvement efforts.

Qualifications
  • A California Pharmacy Technician Certification is requried.
  • An IV Certification by PTCB or NPTA is requried.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting, with expertise in unit-dose computer entry, IV additive preparation, and handling narcotics is requried.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with a passion for guiding and developing others.
