Responsibilities

The Employee Health and Wellness LVN facilitates, tracks, and coordinates the Employee Health and Wellness programs. This position provides nursing assessment, treatment, education and wellness support plans for the employee population at Dignity Health- St. Bernardine Medical Center, within the areas of the wellness program, pre-employment, annual health checks, and assists in work injury/illness treatment. This position is responsible for developing individual and house-wide employee health educational programs and curriculums. Has primary responsibility for the facilitation, tracking and treatment of employees who are exposed to bloodborne pathogens. The job involves the responsibility and authority to access confidential data reflective of the employees health status and interpret information needed to identify each employee's requirements relative to his/her age-related specific needs and to provide appropriate care. This job is responsible for the design of and the statistical analysis and matrix reporting of data for the Employee Health and Wellness programs.

The Employee Health and Wellness LVN will collaborate with Infection Control Services on related areas regarding Employee regulations. The Employee Health and Wellness Nurse will cross-train to provide coverage to the Workers' Compensation Office. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health-St. Bernardine Medical Center. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support Dignity Health-St. Bernardine Medical Center's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement, process, and activities.


Qualifications
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in an acute care hospital setting required.
  • Valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel spreadsheets and Word required.
