Job Summary:
Under the general guidance of the Manager, the Physical Therapist administers patient evaluations, plans and implements patient treatment proficiently for all assigned patient diagnoses. Supervises Physical Therapy Assistants and Technicians in patient treatment programs. Assists in supervision, training and orienting new staff. This position treats/cares for patients of all ages.

  • Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from a university or college accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • A valid license to practice Physical Therapy in the State of California
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider certification, approved by the American Heart Association
  • A thorough knowledge of physical therapy techniques and diagnostic tests for evaluation purposes for inpatient and outpatient populations of all ages
  • Able to complete a thorough evaluation including history, objective findings, goals, justification for medical necessity, and a plan of care.
  • Able to perform heavy physical tasks in working directly with patients
  • Ability to be flexible in making changes in work routine
  • Ability to complete equitable caseload under pressure
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and general computer systems for electronic documentation and report
  • Experience in an acute care hospital, rehabilitation center and outpatient setting
  • Membership in the American Physical Therapy Association
