Nestled in the heart of East Sacramento Dignity Health Mercy General Hospital is a 313 bed acute care facility that provides a wide range of services with special advocacy for the poor and underserved. Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The incumbent is responsible for providing direct health care services to the cardiac surgery patient population. Within this role, the incumbent synthesizes theoretical, scientific and contemporary clinical knowledge for the assessment and management of both health and illness states. The primary care provided consists of evaluation of normal and abnormal findings, initiation of treatments and coordinating the discharge process. These functions will be performed in accordance with the Standardized Procedures approved by the Mercy General Hospital Committee for Credentials and Interdisciplinary Practices and Cardiology section.

The incumbent shall demonstrate behaviors consistent with the core (Mercy) values in support with Mercy General Hospital and the Mission and Philosophy of Dignity Health.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited program for nurse practitioners and certification as Nurse Practitioner. 
  • Candidates must have a CA RN, NP, CPR and ACLS from the American Heart Association.
