Roseburg is located on Interstate 5 in Southern Oregon's scenic Douglas County. The community is nestled in a lush, forested region known as the 100 Valleys of the Umpqua.

Pay Scale: $35.12 - $50.92

Shift: Monday - Friday 5pm - 11:30pm

Job Summary:

The Ultrasonographer performs all ultrasound procedures as requested and covers calls as scheduled.  Must be able to work independently and correlate procedures and images for interpretation with the Radiologist.

Essential Duties:

  • Performs Ultrasound studies in a timely manner, providing high quality images for presentation to the Radiologist for interpretation.
  • Completes all required paperwork in a timely & accurate manner.  Assure all fields are complete including, but not limited to: time out reporting in accordance with department & JCAHO safety standards.
  • Completes exams on Meditech and verifies studies on PACS as soon as exam is completed or the earliest opportunity.
  • Reviews orders & coordinates with referring healthcare provider to provide the appropriate study.
  • Responsible for the proper use, care, and maintenance of equipment, quality control standards used and accurate records of each.
  • Wipes down all equipment with approved disinfectant after each exam.
  • Observes and applies hand hygiene standards.
  • Provides for patient safety and comfort during procedures and coordinates workflow to efficiently accomplish quality patient care.
  • Performs exams specific to patient’s needs and age in accordance with established protocols; taking into consideration patient’s special needs relating to ethnic or cultural diversity.



  • RDMS or RVT Ultrasonography certification is required; candidate must obtain both credentials within 18 months of hire. 
  • RDMS and RVT credentialed Ultrasonographer is preferred. 
  • Must have current American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Providers within 30 days of hire.  


  • Candidate must have excellent interpersonal customer service and communication skills. 
  • Candidate must be able to work without supervision, be organized and a self starter.   


  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound school, who is registry eligible, is required.
