Job Summary / Purpose

The Manager of Access Protection will lead all aspects of access protection solutions. This includes privileged access/identity management, multi-factor authentication, and other cybersecurity controls that protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the organization’s assets and data. The Manager will act as the product owner for all privileged identity, access management and multifactor platforms, leading efforts to continually improve solutions, and supporting processes and people that make security successful.

The Manager will have the opportunity to lead and participate in the development and support of new solutions that secure cloud, network, and data. The Manager will also transform processes the team uses to protect the organization, and help develop people through skills development and making CommonSpirit a best place to work.

The Manager will work alongside our vendor community to partner where appropriate and build a world class security organization. The Manager will maintain excellent relationships with the external security community to learn best-practices and apply them to CommonSpirit.

The Manager will continually optimize processes to support overall quality. These processes include product lifecycle and change management. The Manager will identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure performance against these.

The Manager will have 6-10 direct reports which include skilled cybersecurity engineers across multiple disciplines. A significant part of the Manager’s responsibility is to develop a cohesive, highly effective team. It is also critical that the Manager fosters an open, diverse and empowered culture where people are close to the mission of healthcare and understand how they have a profound impact on our patients and workforce.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the privileged access management (PAM) and multifactor authentication (MFA) solutions portfolio. This includes the supporting technologies, operational processes, procedural runbooks, vendor relationships and, of course, the people who make the delivery of the product possible.
  • Deploy, configure, operate and tune the PAM and MFA security solutions. Carefully manage change processes to protect computing environment availability.
  • Collaborate with other organizations during security incidents.
  • Maintain awareness of the cyber threat landscape and threat intelligence; use this information to continuously improve the cybersecurity posture of the organization.
  • Work with the Chief Technology Product Officer to reduce the risk .
  • Lead a team of cybersecurity professionals while fostering an encouraging and inclusive environment where people are able to reach their dreams and discover fulfilling work that matters.
  • Foster positive relationships throughout the organization and CommonSpirit by listening to constructive feedback and making changes that help those who serve our patients.

Compensation Range:$ 51.66to $67.16, hourly rates, annualized.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related technical/business area or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years in cybersecurity with leadership experience (team leader, project leader or manager) and leadership aptitude
  • In-depth knowledge of the following domains:
    • Privilege Access Management
    • Multi-factor Authentication
    • Zero-trust principles and concepts
    • Cyber tools, techniques and processes
  • Bachelors degree  or above is preferred
  • CISSP is preferred
