Responsibilities
The incumbent is responsible for performing concurrent and retrospective quality and performance improvement assessments/reviews. The incumbent will work collaboratively with co-workers and members of other departments to abstract & analyze medical record documentation and identify quality improvement opportunities in some or all of the following areas: cardiovascular diagnostic interventional or surgical procedures CMS/The Joint Commission core measures and Dignity Health quality goals. The incumbent will also assist in design and implementation of data collection tools perform concurrent and retrospective medical staff peer review case screening and review quality data from multiple sources. In addition the incumbent will work collaboratively with appropriate task forces teams departments and other hospital staff in quality and performance improvement activities.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
3 years with clinical expertise in assigned area of work
Associates Degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing
Current California RN license required
Preferred Qualifications
5 years of clinical expertise in assigned area of work area of work; detailed medical record review or analysis of clinical/non clinical data; staff clinical education/development
