Responsibilities

 Our Occupational Therapists see about 8 patients daily for initial evaluations, re-evaluations, or treatments. We have 60-minute sessions 1:1 with patients. We are looking for a  Certified Lymphedema Specialist (CLT), who either has their LANA (Lymphedema Association of North America) certification or planning on getting this certification.  DH-YRMC also has a designated breast care surgeon and you will be a part of this collaboration. 

To thrive as an occupational therapist, you must be a team player. You’ll constantly collaborate with other therapists, patients, and their families to seek the best possible treatment outcome. You should be personable, positive, and motivated to provide quality care to a wide variety of patients every day. 

  • Provides patient care including evaluating the patient for treatment providing and directing administration of the care plan upon the referral from the physician.
  • Consults with other health care disciplines to coordinate therapeutic programs and discharge planning for individual patients.
  • Instructs patients and caregivers in home program exercises and functional activities.
  • Assists with patient program management while delivering quality patient services.

We are offering $10K in relocation to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.


Qualifications

Minimum

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program required

  • Internship or rotation in appropriate clinical setting required

  • Licensed to practice occupational therapy in the state of Arizona

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support

  • Computer skills required

Preferred

  • Lymphedema Specialist

  • Masters or Doctorate degree in appropriate clinical area preferred

  • 2 years progressive experience in clinical area performing patient clinical care preferred

  • Prior use of electronic health record preferred
