Connection Specialist

Working as a Connection Specialist is a rewarding career that allows you to help people in need across the United States in a 24/7 virtual call center environment.  Part of our highly specialized team of phone and communications operators at CommonSpirit Health's Virtual Hospital in Phoenix, AZ, this position will serve as the initial point of contact between our patients, family members and others and our healthcare professionals at 140+ hospitals across 21 states. They will practice active listening skills and ask questions to get to the critical details needed to accurately and efficiently direct the call.   Connection Specialists are naturally compassionate individuals who are comfortable talking to people who might be emotional, pankicked or stressed.  While working under stress, the right person will be eager to work directly with our callers in a calm and efficient manner to respond to situations ensuring the best possible outcome for the caller.  Is that person you?

What you'll do:

Using a Private Branch Exchange (PBX) operator function, you will use exceptional communication and judgment skills to make decisions quickly when answering inbound phone calls.  You will need to recognize the difference between emergency and non-emergency calls and quickly evaluate the situation and decide on the appropriate course of action.  You will practice active listening to connect the dots and know which questions to ask callers to get the critical details needed to accurately and efficiently direct the call.  Call responses could include, call routing, code calling, overhead announcements and sending notifications to essential patient care team members across the country.   You will also provide after hours remote patient care coverage for patients being monitored while healing at home; serving as their lifeline for questions and an escalation trigger for immediate patient care.

While you’re busy caring for our patients, we’ll take care of you with benefits that include health/dental/vision, FSA, matching retirement plans, paid vacation, adoption assistance, performance bonus eligibility and more!

Why should you choose us:

What sets us apart from other healthcare organizations? How much time do you have? In short, it all starts with our current employees.
