Materials Management Tech II

Job Responsibilities include: 

  • distributes hospital equipment supplies and mail
  • Prepares equipment and supplies for shipping as needed.
  • Stocking Experience
  • Pallet Jack Use
  • Fifo Skills
  • Shipping and Receiving 
  • Must have great math skills
  • Must have attention to detail
  • Participates in inventory/cycle counting process per department procedure.
  • Maintains hospital inventory and materials management work areas in a clean and orderly manner. 
  •  Performs daily counts of par-level locations via hand-held technology approved supply storage system or materials management information system.
  •  Performs data entry of stock items issued from inventory. 

Requirements:

  • Competent in Microsoft Word Outlook and basic computer operations. 

  • Meets minimum competencies of Materials Management Tech I required
  • Three to six (3-6) months of inventory management experience required
  • An understanding of large ERP systems are required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid state driver license required (DRV LIC). 

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

Requirements: 

  • Competent in Microsoft Word Outlook and basic computer operations. 

  • Meets minimum competencies of Materials Management Tech I required
  • Three to six (3-6) months of inventory management experience required
  • An understanding of large ERP systems are required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid state driver license required (DRV LIC). 

Preferred/Desired: 

  • Six to twelve months related work experience in a hospital stockroom or warehouse.
  • Forklift operation certification and/or experience.

Special Knowledge Skills Abilities: 

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in written form in English.
  • Good numerical skills a must.
  • Sound customer service techniques and practices
  • Ability to communicate in a professional and articulate manner with internal and external partners at all levels both verbal and written
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous while handling problems comfortable as a team member and informational leader
  • Knowledge of Materials Management.
