Responsibilities
Administers and scores neuropsychological and psychological tests to outpatients, and occasionally inpatients, under supervision of a licensed psychologist; performs clerical duties as needed; inputs data into computers; and carries out other similar duties in support of the Neuropsychology Program in the Neuropsychology Clinic.
Job Responsibilities:
- Competently administers and scores full compilation of neuropsychological and psychological tests in the Neuropsychology Service Line.
- Collects and records behavioral observations on patients during the psychometric process to contribute to accurate assessment and diagnosis.
- Assembles test data, converts data using appropriate normative tables, and calculates statistical summaries such as z-scores, T-scores, and percentiles, within a timely manner.
- Maintains knowledge and skill in testing patients of all ages as well as challenging patients who are cognitively impaired or physically debilitated to ensure accurate assessment that contributes to patient care.
- Communicates with neuropsychologist regarding patient performance on testing and observations as well as general issues related to testing services.
- Follow policies/procedures/regulatory requirements and perform other work assignments
Qualifications
Education:
- BA Degree or BS Degree in psychology, social sciences, or closely related field of study required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Healthcare-related experience involving patient interaction preferred
- Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate strong attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills and capacity to develop rapport with neuropsychology patients required
- Ability to learn to administer and score neuropsychological and psychological test materials in the Neuropsychology Service Line (approximately 100 unique test procedures) required
- Skills using computers and software programs for administration and scoring of specific tests required
- Ability to utilize reference materials for normative data pertaining to specific test procedures, spreadsheets for generating data summaries, and behavioral observation reporting forms for summarizing observations made during the evaluation process required
