Responsibilities
Join our Pharmacy Team at Dignity Health Arizona General Hospital (Mesa/Laveen) Campus and be a part of the Arizona Dignity Health Network of Hospitals. We are the newest addition to the Dignity Health system in Arizona. As community-based hospitals, both AZGH Laveen and AZGH Mesa hospitals provide 24/7 medical services including emergency, intensive care, inpatient, and surgical to patients in the underserved communities.
Apart from being located in underserved areas and being tailored to suit the local demographics, AZGH Laveen and AZGH Mesa Hospitals heavily focus on patient-centered care which offers convenience and speedy access to care that might not be as readily available in other medical institutions.The Pharmacy Department at Dignity Health Arizona General Hospital is a full-service 24/7 pharmacy.
- Responsible for the general supervision of the delivery and documentation of pharmaceutical care provided to patients using the medication use process (selecting, prescribing, dispensing, administration and monitoring of medications).
- Responsible for day-to-day management of pharmacy staff including scheduling, annual evaluations, orientation, counseling, interviewing candidates, approval of time cards, hiring and discipline of employees.
- Provide input on budgetary considerations for their section at budget time. Monitors the income & expenses to compare with the budget as documented by monthly reports.
- Provide input to the pharmacy leadership team on departmental, operational, financial and human resources issues and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required. Advanced or Master's degree preferred (e.g., Pharm.D.) .
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Pharmacist in an acute care setting and/or completion of an ASHP-accredited residency program.
- Registered Pharmacist license. Oversight for an acute care facility requires licensure in the state in which you practice.
